William Barclay summarised it by generally stating that  we are born that's the first mark of greatness and when we find our purpose we have truly begin to live. The Rough S.E.A

First of all I would like to congratulate all the students who wrote the exam on a job well done. To all parents and teachers who actively supporting and encouraging the students throughout the process job well done.
The issue I have is why are we pressuring our young minds so much. I see more damage associated with this exam than benefit. If the ministry would assess these children continuously from the end of standard 1 to the end of standard 5 using this approach as means of assigning students to the secondary school system would be less stressful and more profitable for all stakeholders.

Light is right??

How is it that there has been and upsurge in the trend of skin bleaching, both men and women have been bleaching it has become a normal part of fashion. Why are people bleaching is there no love for self or is there some benefit in being lighter. The Confusing question is, is bleaching right or wrong.

Drop it low

Issues of wearing your pants under your waist is still a topic of discussion, some say it's rude and disrespectful to wear you pants that low. I see no issue with it I believe it's a nice fashion trend, but with all things it can be over done and I believe that's the point where it becomes a point of contention. I see the low pants style as being equivalent to women showing cleavage, but because of  gender bias people wouldn't see the connection.

As humans we are driven by an innate ability to succeed. After doing some research I have discovered a formula for success.

From a religious point of view it's said that life and death is in the town so speak positive thing, speak success and it manifest.

From a social perspective it's referred to as ''self fulfilling prophesise'', where  Speaking  things into being and believing  in the thing you speak will cause them to happen.

two different institutes of thought but the same concept, bottom line is believe in yourself.

        We have been asked to think outside the box, be creative, be agents of change, but the system is judging everyone by the same stands and methods. Using standardized testing and the common norms as benchmarks to evaluate Intellectual superiority. I believe this is one of our major hurdles that hamper our society from being able to truly diversify and be the genuine leaders we are destine to be. I believe greatness comes from standing out, going against the grain not becoming a carbon copy which our society is effectively preparing us for .

I was introduced to this profound quote by one of my friends Mr. Crichlow. It immediately had me thinking about it's relevance to life.  It was so simple but intricate, I believe it embodies the daily struggle of life, and positive progress, we all face as humans you be the judge.

So T&T is said to be going through economic trouble. While this is the tune of all political parties the results remain the same, where they are spending loosely with no consideration for the population at hand. Political games and tricks seem to be the order of the day.

School Daze

School days are supposed to be filled with laughter, joy and fun. A book bag filled with books ready to be used to impart knowledge, a lunch bag filled with snacks and a delicious lunch that can't wait  to be devoured by the child who is hungry after a fun filled morning of excitement.

In 2017 I believe bags are filled with boxing gloves and protective amour and a lunch bag filled with weapons to be used to defend one's self if attacked. Our education system is marred with violence, anger and uncontrollable rage, Where did we go wrong?

I believe we are failing our youths. The system, our parents, the media all stakeholders need to make serious interventions to transform our future. Please feel free to leave a comment as to how we can fix these problems.
